Music brings us
together.
High Country roots. A wider cultural horizon.
One connected music landscape.
Created by Kevin S. Martin, High Country Culture Connector starts with the places between Boone and the Triangle. It connects artists, films, rooms, dates, and cities so finding a show feels like discovery.
A transparent starting point.
This is a working prototype with selected official-calendar listings checked October 26, 2026. It is not a complete concert database, an automated feed, or a ticket seller. Genres are editorial browsing labels. Venues and performers have not endorsed this project.
Sources & corrections
Every show links to its venue source. Dates, times, and availability can change. If a listing differs from the venue’s calendar, follow the venue. Source corrections enter through catalog.json in the downloadable project and require republishing; public submissions are not enabled yet.
Film beyond the multiplex
Special screenings, documentary, repertory, experimental work, and local festivals have a dedicated film program. Weekly runs can change daily, so we link to each cinema’s current schedule.
The road ahead
Broader local coverage comes first. Then: approved event feeds and venue submissions, review and deduplication, cancellation updates, and a shared database for a dedicated mobile app. Knoxville, Nashville, and Atlanta are future coverage areas.
Original artwork
The vinyl sun and mountain concert artwork was generated for this project. It is conceptual illustration and does not depict an actual artist or venue.
